1. As a cleanser or makeup remover:

This fast absorbing, light oil acts as a fantastic cleanser. In my ‘double cleansing’ it remains my first step. You can use this alone or mix with any other carrier oil available in your closet. I mix it either with coconut or grapeseed oil and apply on my dry face and neck. Then I massage with soft strokes to penetrate and remove all impurities, makeup and SPF. Pick up a wet washcloth to wipe the oil away and wash off with a water based cleanser. Wow, look at the fresh and clear complexion!!

2. As a nourishing face oil:

You can use it as the last layer of your night ritual. Pour 2-3 drops on your palm, gently warm between the hands and press into the face. Its thin texture doesn’t make you feel greasy or excessive oily. This soothing formula will offer you a hydrated, healthier and softer complexion. Use it daily.

3. As a makeup base:

Trust me, you are not going to end up with a greasy finish if you slather the oil on your face. Use a few drops before applying the foundation or tinted moisturizer and let others compliment your luminous look. Watermelon oil is so thin that you’ll hardly feel you have it on.

4. In Aromatherapy:

Being a good carrier oil it can be used as your relaxing body massage. Make a blend of this nutty oil mixing with 2 drops of Lavender and 2 drops of Geranium EOs. Massage with this calming blend and get relief from stress or anxiety. You’ll find a nice excuse to sleep 😉.

Though it’s suggested by the brand to apply the product especially at night, you can use it at daytime as well. If you have excessive oily skin, skip applying in the morning. But other skin types may apply before sunscreen, provided to layer on wet skin. First, cleanse your face, apply any floral water and pat 2 drops on the skin.

Have you ever used watermelon seed oil? If so, please let us know how do you use it in your skincare ritual.
