Do you use primers before applying a foundation? Or, you think you don’t need one! If you fall into the second category, please think again. It’s a very important part to create the perfect canvas for your makeup.
A face primer not only helps to ‘fill in’ the pores, but helps the makeup to last longer. They keep oil at bay, help to smooth fine lines or wrinkles and even out your skin tone. If on the day, you are not in a mood to use foundation, a primer may add to your skin a nice boost. Do you know it can protect your skin from getting clogged? Whether you go for full, bold glam makeup or want to keep it simple with BB cream and a lip gloss, a primer takes the vital role.
Well, today I am going to share my thoughts about Coloressence Gold Pore Refiner. I generally keep my make-up scene simple with BB cream, eyeliner and a bold lipstick. Occasionally, I go for full face of makeup. But, each time, I never skip this necessary step, the primer. Let’s start with the review now.
Coloressencnce Gold Pore Refiner (Primer):
“This special pore Refining satin smooth base is quintessential for a world class makeup & flawless look & application.”
This is a promising pre makeup base with you Vitamin E and wheat germ oil to brighten, improve and extend makeup wear.

The product comes in a golden tube with a screw cap. A compact packaging with all necessary information provided by the brand. It contains a nozzle that helps me to take out the quantity I need. The shiny golden tube packaging looks quite luxe. You can carry it wherever you go. It’s my period companion on the vacation time. If I don’t get time for makeup, I apply Coloressence Pore refiner on my spf and I’m done with the base.
I’ve been using this product for almost four months and I’m quite impressed with. On my look for a primer that can minimize the pores and work for shiny nose, I entered a local store. The girl there literally forced me to take this. I purchased, hence the review.
I have mixed skin with oily t-zone. I have small pores too. This powdery gel feels great on the skin. It absorbs straight into the skin, giving a dewy matte finish. The primer makes my skin feel soft and look smooth. I apply it after cleansing, toning and my regular SPF. It has a pale yellow color and doesn’t leave any residue or greasy or heavy feeling.
My skin looks bright and fresh. The foundation or BB cream sits pretty well. I love its light texture, especially the matte look it creates. On hot, humid days it does work great. I sweat a lot and the consequence is more oily skin, and melting of makeup. This comes to rescue here, by helping my makeup stay at its place for 5 hours. Though it doesn’t control oil secretion, for that you have to apply a oil control powder as the last step.
Overall, I’m quite happy with this Pore Refiner primer. If you have small pores like me you’ll like it. But for large pores I don’t think it is the best. It’s a good primer at an affordable price. Little product goes a long way. So, I feel it’s value for money.
