There is a big difference between dry and dehydrated skin. Though in both the cases you will feel dry. You know what, the former is the skin type while the latter is the skin concern.
What’s confusing is to know whether your skin is dry or dehydrated. Since they share some symptoms like discomfort, peeling, tight feeling, it’s easy to confuse them and make wrong assumption. - Looks dull
- Feels tight

- Having large or medium pores
- Increased appearance of fine lines and surface wrinkles.
Causes of dry and dehydrated skin:
The causes of dry skin maybe cold weather, long hot shower, using too harsh soaps or alcohol based products regularly.
When dehydrated skin is caused by
- Sun exposure (esp to UVA in sunlight)
- Air pollution
- Air conditioning
- Hormonal changes
- Wrong diet
- Wrong or no skincare routine
- Too much alcohol or caffeine
