Review: Innisfree Green Tea Seed Serum

Serums always play a vital role in my everyday skincare routine. It’s a light, easily absorbed oil- or water-based liquid that is designed to deliver powerful ingredients directly into the skin. Hence, I try a lot, one of those is Innisfree Green Tea Seed Serum. I’ve purchased a mini version (30ml) of the product from Nykaa. It’s been about a month now that I’ve been using it. Let’s check how much this serum worked on my skin.

Innisfree Green Tea Seed Serum:

It’s known to give a good hydration boost to your skin while providing a natural glow. I bought the mini size because I wanted to know whether this will suit my combination and sensitive skin or not. If so, I can try the bigger one.

The Claim:

Innisfree Green Tea Seed Serum is a balanced blend of  Jeju Green Tea extract and Green Tea seed oil work together to hydrate and create a strong moisture barrier to keep your skin moisturised longer. Plus, it’s the first serum after cleansing to instantly replenish moisture lost from cleansing for a soft, glowing complexion.

How to use:

Use as a hydrating serum after cleansing the face, morning and night.

Suitable for:

Normal, combination and oily skin and the people who are prone to dehydration like me.

Packaging:

It comes in a dark green plastic bottle with a pump dispenser that works really well. I love such attractive and easy-to-use packaging. It’s a lightweight bottle that perfectly fits in my hand. I expected a protective cap over the pump so it wouldn’t spill or leak out while carrying it around. Though I haven’t found any.

Consistency and fragrance

Innisfree Green Tea Seed Serum is a clear, watery fluid that’s slightly thick. The consistency makes it easy to use and absorb quickly upon application.
The serum has a refreshing floral like scent that I haven’t found overpowering though some may have. My sensitive nose doesn’t feel it irritating. The smell is only noticeable at first but it gradually is faded out.
Price: INR 850 for 30 ml. INR 1950 for 80 ml. Available on Nykaa, Amazon.

My Experience with Innisfree Green Tea Seed Serum

My skin type:

Combination skin, oily in summer while dry in winter.
I have been using Innisfree Green Tea Seed Serum for more than one month at my night ritual. After cleansing, I apply two pumps of the product to a slightly damp face. As it has watery consistency it absorbs almost immediately into the skin. Once absorbed, I feel no stickiness or residue remaining.
My complexion feels soft and hydrated, without any added greasiness on my T-zone. I found a noticeable improvement in my complexion when I apply a light moisturizer after this. I am really impressed with this simple hydrating step that can hydrate and soothe whenever you need it.
You may not notice any immediate result. After a week of consistent use, you can feel softer and more hydrated complexion. You’ll also notice that your skin looks brighter than before. Plus, nowadays I am seeing the large pores, especially on my cheeks, appearing smaller.

My skin type is a combination. It is not oily, and will not give a greasy feeling on the
face. In summer I am facing acne and feel my skin oily all the time.
